I posted a LONG time ago that the hubs and I have been struggling to get preggers. On my latest trip to the RE (reproductive endocrinologist) this past Sunday he scheduled me to come in for an IUI procedure. Prior to the procedure S had to give me an injection!!! Yikes, my husband????
Seth had to be at the doctor prior to me @ 8:30. I didn't have to be there until 9:30-10:00ish. So we took separate cars. I dropped Drew off at school and pulled out of the parking lot. Not two minutes later the Check Transmission light came on in the van. I called Seth who was already on his way to Little Rock and he called the Honda dealership. "Get here now," they said.
Let me just say that having a procedure done like an IUI is somewhat time sensitive.
Ok, back to the story: Get to the dealership and they understand that we are under a time crunch. Problem: All their cars they loan out are OUT! WHAT!!!!! After I had a meltdown over everything, I called my dear friend Holly. She had just stepped on the eliptical machine at the gym and dropped everything to come get me and let me take her car to Little Rock. (I owe her!!!!)
On the way to Little Rock we start getting freezing rain. I made it to Little Rock with no problems. Just some slow moving traffic.
Back outside it's beginning to really come down. The roads are beginning to get slick and they are starting to close schools. Keep in mind I'm in someone else's car!!! A million hours later I make it back to Holly's house. Because I still don't have a car and I wasn't going to be at my school I had D bussed to the JH where Holly picks up her son. Holly then took me to get Seth's truck so I could go by the store to pick up something for dinner.
Hoping the trip to Little Rock was worth it! We'll find out in two weeks! Longest two weeks of my life!!!!!!!
